Prometheus Helmet: Birmingham Made Me

So excited to have been invited to present at the Birmingham Made Me Expo 2013 on the importance of Birmingham design in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus (2012).

Building upon the research conducted for my monograph, Ripley Rebooted: Alien Receptions and Transgressive Genders, I have been invited to present alongside Peter Turnock, Managing Director of CMA Moldform Ltd, whose company designed a range of adaptable helmets for the film, Prometheus. CMA Moldform Ltd. are a member of the Made in the Midlands group who seek to promote Midlands based manufacture and industry, and have an extensive relationship of manufacturing products for the film industry.

You can catch us at The Giant Screen at Millennium Point from 12.30pm on 19th June 2013. Find the full programme of events here. The Birmingham Made Me Expo 2013 will host presentations and exhibits from a wide range of regional business including Aston Martin, the Morgan Motor Company, Harvey Nichols and  Birmingham Airport.
